Healthcare Worker

Responsibilities for Healthcare Workers include assisting clients with social activities, assisting with dressing, toileting, and bathing, assuring individuals are well groomed, implementing and monitoring the individual's program plan, documenting services provided, and performing bed checks as necessary. Employees must also be comfortable driving up to a 15 passenger company vehicle.

Candidates for third shift must have prior experience working third shift.

Occasional weekends off.
 

Hours and Pay:

1st Shift:

  • 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. M-F
  • 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday / Sunday
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

2nd Shift:

  • 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

3rd Shift:

  • 10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

$1.00 per hour shift differential for anyone working 3rd shift hours from 10 pm to 6 am.

Schedules for all shifts will be discussed in more detail during the interview with the manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of direct care experience with adults with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
  • DSPATHS (Direct Support Professional Advancement through Training and Education in Human Services) Certificate a plus.

Job Coach

The Adult Day Services at River Crossings, operated by Josina Lott Residential & Community Services, aims to raise the standards of personal skill development, community integration and the availability of vocational opportunities offered to people living with developmental disabilities.

Due to our expansion, we are currently seeking to fill full-time positions of Job Coaches. Responsibilities include supervising and assisting individuals served by Josina Lott in activities and programs as outlined in the individuals’ daily schedules, and assuring active treatment is completed. Employee will also provide transportation utilizing up to a 15 passenger company vehicle.

Shift Time

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Rate of Pay

  • $11.14 - $12.25 per hour

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Education, Human Services, or related field a plus

Qualifications

  • Experience with job coaching, teaching, or activity planning for individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience instructing groups and facilitating activities for adults with developmental disabilities.
  • Experience and knowledge in assessing the abilities of adults with developmental disabilities and matching their abilities to their work skills and interests.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.

Job Functions

  • Encourage individuals to participate in recreational and leisure activities.
  • Implement and document individuals programs as scheduled.
  • Supervise individuals during hours of work and assist with toileting or other personal needs.
  • Responsible for transporting individuals to and from work using company vehicle.
  • Assist individuals with developing their social and work skills.

Licensed Practical Nurse

Josina Lott Residential & Community Services provides services to 33 adults with developmental disabilities in a park-like setting located on 10 plus acres of land. Hours and Pay:

Three (3) 12-hour shifts and One (1) 4-hour shift as follows:

  • 12-hour Shifts: 6:30 am to 6:30 pm
  • 4-hour Shift: 9 am to 1 pm (may vary upon the need)
  • Will work every third weekend and every other holiday

*$16.31/hour depending on experience

* Employees are paid double time for holidays worked


Primary Duties Include:

  • Providing proper medical services including administration of medication to ensure physician's orders are carried out and the individuals receive proper medical care.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to both medical and non-medical emergencies.
  • Monitors individuals' medical charts for accuracy and compliance of physician's orders.
  • Inventories and orders medical supplies to include medications needed for the individuals served.
  • Educates and trains employees as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred; working in a rehabilitation/hospital setting a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to demonstrate.
  • Ability to follow physician's orders and excellent medical charting a must.
  • Driver's license with an excellent driving record required.
  • Ability to be trained and to pass a driver's test on JLR&CS vehicles, up to a 15-passenger vehicle.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with proof of graduation from an accredited nursing school with an Ohio LPN License.
