3rd Shift Direct Care Manager

The 3rd Shift Manager coordinates and supervises individuals’ services in both residences. This position provides supervision and direction to our third shift direct support professionals, and to other staff/shifts as needed. You will conduct staff meetings, interview potential applicants, manages employee concerns, evaluate employee progress, instruct training classes and make recommendations for staff regarding performance, hiring and terminations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of three years of direct care experience with adults with disabilities.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Ability to pass Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Minimum 1 year of 3rd shift experience.

Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional
The QIDP is responsible for overall development and implementation of clients (here-in referred to individuals) with developmental disabilities, individual program plans (IPP), behavior guidelines & acts as chairperson of inter-disciplinary team meetings in order to coordinate comprehensive delivery of services, e.g., social, physical and psychological needs. They educate employees and the individuals on self-determination so the individuals can be as independent as possible in their daily living activities. The QIDP acts as the liaison for communication purposes between the guardian, Advocacy for Protective Services, Inc., and family members. This includes other outside professionals as needed. The QIDP completes and submits quarterly Individual Assessment Forms and reviews Medicaid and all regulatory standards on a continual basis to insure compliance. The QIDP acts as a role model to the volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/ICF/ or ID laws, rules, regulations and standards preferred
  • Transport individuals in a 15 passenger bus with a lift, for activities/appointments
  • Ability to lead an interdisciplinary team
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the development of teaching curriculum
  • Ability to write measurable objectives
  • Knowledgeable in behavior management techniques a must

Recreation Specialist

FUN, ORGANIZED and OUTGOING PERSON WANTED!
Josina Lott is looking for an energetic, creative and compassionate person for our Recreation Specialist position. A qualified candidate will be able to plan and host a wide-variety of activities for adults with disabilities. The position requires special attention to planning, organizing and implementing group and one-on-one activities both in the home and in community settings. They will assist individuals to recover basic motor functions and reasoning abilities. They will also assist individuals by helping to build confidence and socialize effectively to reduce or eliminate the effects of their illness or disability. The qualified candidate will have a valid driver license and the ability to drive company vehicles.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in recreation therapy or in a specialty area such as, art, music, or physical education, or a human service related field.

Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities for Healthcare Workers include assisting clients with social activities, assisting with dressing, toileting, and bathing, assuring individuals are well groomed, implementing and monitoring the individual's program plan, documenting services provided, and performing bed checks as necessary. Employees must also be comfortable driving up to a 15 passenger company vehicle.

Candidates for third shift must have prior experience working third shift.

Hours and Pay:

1st Shift:

  • 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. M-F
  • 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday / Sunday
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

2nd Shift:

  • 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

3rd Shift:

  • 10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

$1.00 per hour shift differential for anyone working 3rd shift hours from 10 pm to 6 am.

Occasional weekends off. Schedules for all shifts will be discussed in more detail during the interview with the manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of direct care experience with adults with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
  • DSPATHS (Direct Support Professional Advancement through Training and Education in Human Services) Certificate a plus.
