Housekeeper/Groundskeeper
The mission of Josina Lott is to enrich the lives of people with developmental disabilities by providing quality services, safe environments and opportunities for self-determination and community integration. We are seeking a full-time Housekeeper/Groundskeeper to join our professional team and help provide a clean, sanitary and safe working environment for the individuals and employees at Josina Lott.

Responsibilities for the Housekeeper/Groundskeeper include cleaning and maintaining all office and kitchen areas, operating facility housekeeping equipment including carpet cleaning system, buffer/scrubber, and vacuum cleaners, assisting with grounds maintenance that includes watering the grounds, maintaining mulch beds, trimming bushes, removing snow, and salting the sidewalks, and maintaining paper and liquid hygiene stock for bathrooms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a housekeeper or groundskeeper preferred
  • Knowledge of general cleaning agents and their proper use.
  • Experience preferred in general cleaning and use of a carpet cleaning system and buffer/ scrubber.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Registered Nurse
Josina Lott Residential & Community Services is currently looking for a compassionate and friendly RN to provide exceptional nursing care to our residents. This position reports to the Director of Nursing and maintains the optimum health and safety of the individuals served by JLR&CS. This position acts in the absence of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

• Attends to medical and non-medical emergencies
• Medication administration
• Coordinates and accompanies residents to appointments
• Assists Direct Care Staff in day to day operations as needed
• Oversees off-site nursing services provided to individuals in community-based settings.

Qualifications

  • Ability to assess the medical needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Previous experience working with clients with intellectual disabilities preferred
  • Ability to work within a team approach
  • Certified instructor in CPR and Standard First aid a plus
  • Management or Leadership a plus

Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)
Josina Lott Residential & Community Services is looking for a compassionate and caring person to work with our residents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional is a position that requires a strong passion for helping people with disabilities to live their best life as independently as possible.

The QIDP is responsible for overall development and implementation of clients (here-in referred to individuals) with developmental disabilities, individual program plans (IPP) individual behavior guidelines & acts as chairperson of inter-disciplinary team meetings in order to coordinate comprehensive delivery of services, e.g., social, physical and psychological needs. The QIDP is the “architect” of the individuals person centered planning.

The QIDP educates employees and the individuals on self-determination for independence in their daily living activities. The QIDP is responsible for conducting Individual Program Plans (IPP) on an annual and quarterly basis. The QIDP acts as the liaison for communication purposes between the guardian and family members. The QIDP completes and submits quarterly Individual Assessment Forms and will review Medicaid and regulatory standards on a continual basis to insure compliance. This position may have hands on responsibilities with the individuals in assisting with ADL’s to develop their plan. The QIDP acts as a role model to the volunteers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities
  • Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Special Education, or other Human Services Related Field
  • Knowledge of Medicaid/ICF/ or ID laws, rules, regulations and standards preferred
  • Ability to lead an interdisciplinary team
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the development of teaching curriculum
  • Ability to write measurable objectives
  • Knowledgeable in behavior management techniques a must

3rd Shift Direct Care Manager

The 3rd Shift Manager coordinates and supervises individuals’ services in both residences. This position provides supervision and direction to our third shift direct support professionals, and to other staff/shifts as needed. You will conduct staff meetings, interview potential applicants, manages employee concerns, evaluate employee progress, instruct training classes and make recommendations for staff regarding performance, hiring and terminations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of three years of direct care experience with adults with disabilities.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Ability to pass Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Minimum 1 year of 3rd shift experience.

Recreation Specialist

FUN, ORGANIZED and OUTGOING PERSON WANTED!
Josina Lott is looking for an energetic, creative and compassionate person for our Recreation Specialist position. A qualified candidate will be able to plan and host a wide-variety of activities for adults with disabilities. The position requires special attention to planning, organizing and implementing group and one-on-one activities both in the home and in community settings. They will assist individuals to recover basic motor functions and reasoning abilities. They will also assist individuals by helping to build confidence and socialize effectively to reduce or eliminate the effects of their illness or disability. The qualified candidate will have a valid driver license and the ability to drive company vehicles.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in recreation therapy or in a specialty area such as, art, music, or physical education, or a human service related field.

Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities for Healthcare Workers include assisting clients with social activities, assisting with dressing, toileting, and bathing, assuring individuals are well groomed, implementing and monitoring the individual's program plan, documenting services provided, and performing bed checks as necessary. Employees must also be comfortable driving up to a 15 passenger company vehicle.

Candidates for third shift must have prior experience working third shift.

Hours and Pay:

1st Shift:

  • 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. M-F
  • 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday / Sunday
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

2nd Shift:

  • 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

3rd Shift:

  • 10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
  • $10.07 - $11.08 per hour

$1.00 per hour shift differential for anyone working 3rd shift hours from 10 pm to 6 am.

Occasional weekends off. Schedules for all shifts will be discussed in more detail during the interview with the manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of direct care experience with adults with disabilities preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training.

  • DSPATHS (Direct Support Professional Advancement through Training and Education in Human Services) Certificate a plus.
